Hearts Of Iron 3 Cold War Mod

Hearts of Iron 3 is a relatively easy game to modify, so it is not surprising that many mods have been made for the game. This article includes three essential Hearts of Iron 3 mods which every player should try if they are becoming bored with the vanilla game.

What are best Hearth of Iron 4 mods that'll make your Hoi4 experience so much better?Steam Workshop houses nearly 17,000 mods for Hearts of Iron IV. Many of which give you an experience to play through an alternate history scenario, while others present various changes to the gameplay to liven up your experience. Amongst the list are a number of mods that certainly will bring balance and more control into your HoI experience. We're sure that you can take away at least a few of these mods from the list to try out.15. Project XThe political landscape is interesting, and a matter to look forward to see shift and evolve as this mod is being actively worked on. Good luck, Stalker (the creator).

I'm rooting for you.I stumbled upon this mod while browsing through the workshop, as I was itching to play a new game of Hearts of Iron because of the article. It was only uploaded thirteen days ago, too. So, it’s pretty new to the scene.

It’s certainly an interesting mod that takes you into the near future, 2060 to be exact. There are many events that occur between 2035 and 2060, as an arms race occurs between China and the United States, all the while oil resources deplete from increased consumption, and the world economy collapses in on itself. The premise is interesting, not necessarily original in fiction – however it’s nice to find a mod that brings such a thought game to reality.Link to the Mod: 14. Modern Day 4. Have you ever wanted to play a mod that is set in the current year? The closest start point to a mod that brings us to the today appears to currently be in 2016. Modern Day 4 presents a world with turmoil in the Middle East as we know, however MD4 presents deviations from the norm. The mod is ongoing in development, various Focus Trees, Technologies, and so forth continue to be fleshed out.

It's well worth giving the game a shot and see how it feels with what the team has developed thus far.Link to the Mod: 13. Doomsday Series: Zombies modern Day Submod.

Have you ever wanted to add more flavor to your Hearts of Iron experience? Perhaps expand on the diplomatic interactions?

League of Nations is the mod that does just that. When you start a new game, the League of Nations is formed with the historically correct member states. It allows for pressure against aggressive members, as there’s a percent-based 'aggressive' rating and when it reaches 10%, the council can convene and oppose the aggressive state(s).Link to the Mod: 10. Increased ResourcesNow the Middle East is more appealing for imperialistic folk to. Liberate them.Is there ever a time where you’re low on a resource constantly as your demands to fuel that beautiful war machine of yours just can’t be met? Suffice to say, this is a perfect mod to help you out with crushing your foes without needing to wait or constantly import more and more, wasting those precious civilian factories on that need.Link to the Mod: 9.

Increased Manpower from Non-Cored StatesAs you can see, bigger numbers are the result of using this map. Bigger numbers = More conquest.Have you ever felt that when taking territory that there isn’t much of a boost in manpower to pool in and feed your army with? Well, that would be because normally non-cored states will only yield 2%. There’s a solution, though!

It is this mod taking place at number nine. Increased Manpower from Non-Cored States tweak the manpower yield of states from 2% to 30%. That may sound massive, and while it is – it also isn’t. This mod isn’t game-breaking; however, it makes a huge difference in your gameplay experience. Check it out and see if you notice the difference, if you haven’t before!

Otherwise, check it out to enjoy a smoother experience as you progress through your diabolical world domination scheme.Link to the Mod: 8. Player-Led Peace ConferencesThe ability to direct who gets what is particularly nice and powerful. Even better for multiplayer, as players can enjoy their game with dividing land how they want without the AI being cheeky and ruining a beautiful political map. With Player-Led Peace Conferences, at the end of any war you’ve been involved in, you get to direct the course of who takes what. You can distribute territory to allies as well, however there are a few matters also worth noting; You can’t distribute puppets to allies.

The means of how points distributed by AI to players of the same faction in multiplayer is unknown, and otherwise if you happen to be playing as a puppet nation, there’s no certainty on if you’ll receive points to use during a peace conference. Even those minor nuances aren’t worth allowing to deter you from checking this out, especially if you want more control over your game!Link to the Mod: 7. Make Peace, Not WarAs you can see here, the dashing Prince Paul can propose for peace. For those antiquated with HoI4, you know well with how the game lacks a conditional surrender feature. Such as a means to end a war sooner rather than later with a loss of territory, but not the entirety of a nation lost. Instead, you have to push through wars until the bitter end. Even as the war would become wilder and more absurd as more nations join in against you, demanding you to juggle your focus on fronts on occasion. This mod, however, is a fine solution to give gameplay a more realistic feel, and helps keep the game from going too over the top.Link to the Mod: 6.

Hearts of Iron IV: The Great War. There are many mods out there that present you with various alternative history scenarios. Modern day mods, however, aren’t quite as common, but there are those out there absolutely worth mentioning.

Starting our list was Modern Day 4, however, at number four on our list is a truly refined gem of a modern-day scenario; Millenium Dawn: Modern Day Mod. Taking you to the turn of the century, and millennium in fast, MD allows you to take control of any nation that exists today. You start before the explosion of geo-political chaos in the Middle East, and it is up to you to retain peace, or prepare for a great war that may very well destabilize the world and create new boundaries.Link to the Mod: 3.

The Road to 56. If you’re looking for a mod that spices up your experience on Hearts of Iron IV every time you play it, then The Road to 56 is the mod just for you! Spicing up the experience with overhauling every major nation’s Focus Tree, and even also the minor states, right down to Luxemburg, you’ll find much of what you need right here. Besides Focus Tree overhauls, there’s also tech tree additions, and changes in the government panels for your state to give you more specified options with how to gear your nation up to be just how you like it more than before!Link for the mod: 2. Old World Blues. For you Fallout fans especially, we bring to you at number two: Old World Blues.

Named after the DLC from Fallout: New Vegas, Old World Blues brings the scope of lore from New Vegas into Hearts of Iron IV! From taking up the rein of Caesar’s Legion to playing as their great adversary, the New California Republic, to taking up New Vegas as Mr. House, and all of the other peculiar tribes and states in between, it is up to you with how you shall forge the future of your people. Call in imperium or manifest destiny, in this post-apocalyptic setting, it is in your hands with how you’ll face the enemies around you and ensure a lasting legacy is made in the decimated western United States.Link for the mod: 1. Presenting to you at number one is a proper alternative history mudpack. What if the German Empire won The Great War? Well, you get to experience it for yourself here.

France and the United Kingdom have succumbed to communism. The United States is on the brink of collapse. Japan, weakened, yearns to forge its future with a multicontinental Germanic state that seeks to retain its power as the rest of the world grows restless. Who will you play? How will you play?

Can you keep win the inevitable Second Civil War of the United States? If so, then as who? The Syndicates?

The spiritual successor of the Confederacy? Or as the de facto United States government as it waits for its enemies to spring into action? Or perhaps you’ll sit upon the Chrysanthemum Throne of Japan and, as Hirohito, guide Japan to reach its rightful claim to authority in East Asia, or perhaps all the Pacific?
