Dvd shrink free download - DVD Shrink, Shrink, Shrink Pic, and many more programs. Dvd shrink free download - DVD Shrink, Shrink, Shrink Pic, and many more programs.

DVDShrink is software to backup DVD discs. You can use this software in conjunction with DVD burning software of your choice, to make a backup copy of any DVD video disc.DVDShrink will also burn your backup DVD, if you have installed the latest version of Nero. If you already possess alternative burning software and prefer to stick with it, then you can still use DVD Shrink. The output from DVDShrink can be saved as files on your hard drive, which you can then burn with software of your choice. Why Use DVDShrink? Most DVDs are designed to prevent you from making copies. The first preventative measure is encryption. Commercial DVD titles are often encrypted, which prevents you from either copying them to your hard drive, or if you manage to do so, being able to play the resulting files. DVDShrink overcomes this problem with built-in decryption algorithms. The next problem is not so easy. Most DVD video titles are simply too large to fit, without modification, onto a single recordable DVD-R disk.

DVDShrink overcomes this problem by compressing or 'shrinking' the data from your original DVD.DVDShrink also allows you to re-author your DVD. You can make your own compilation from one or more source DVDs, or select only the parts of a DVD which you intend to view, thus preserving more space on your backup for the highest quality viewing.Last but not least, why use DVD Shrink? Because DVDShrink is free!

DVD Shrink is a versatile freeware tool for fitting a DVD-Video disc on a single DVDR disc.DVD Shrink is capable of both re-authoring and re-encoding the movie. It features an intuitive user interface which makes it easy to choose what to keep, and what to lose.DVD Shrinks allow the user to select compression level for each video track separately to obtain the desired disc size (which is usually below 4.38GB). The software is capable of producing either an ISO image of the ripped DVD, or a VIDEOTS folder for further processing, viewing or burning. We recommend you read our fully instructional guide. Ripping DVDs with shrink without an up-to-date decoder will result in failures.

I recommend AnyDVD running in the background behind DVDShrink. DVDShrink on its own will shrink but not decript.

If you use Microsoft windows Media Player to view your ripped movies then you will get unpredictable playback. If for example a vob is copied to HD and renamed as an mpg then foreign language playback often happens also. Cyberlink's Power DVD v 4 is a rock solid player for playing DVD files and DVDs. Why go later or stuff with anything else?

The reason people are still using this program is because it was made so well to begin with! The interface is very well designed and it has all the options you would want for shrinking a double layer to a single layer DVD.I've tried many DVD shrinking utilities but always end up back with DVD shrink. Since I started using it with ImgBurn I haven't had a single problem. Big thanks to the person who added that feature!Yeah, every once in a while I have to use DVDFab for those stubborn Disney or Sony discs but I still would rather use Shrink. 10 years ago this was great software but come on running three programs to try to accomplish what one does much better is a no brainer.

Why would you want to put yourself through all of the hassiles that it takes to use this out dated proggy is beyond me.Do yourself a favor and pick one of the many other good programs that will basically work always and have better quality ripping. If you like multiple program ripping use BD or DVD Rebuilder with another stand alone tool it will give you the highest quality rip and still provide multiple tools to play with.It amazes me that this software is still used the time to let go is long over. For those interested: This program works in Ubuntu Linux Version 8.04 'Hardy Heron' under the Wine program installation. For the discs it will not work with, such as some Sony discs, you can use DVDFab HD Decrypter (the free version) also under Wine to copy the disc. This free version of DVDFab will not shrink the program so, if the disc is larger than 4.472 GB, you can shrink the resultant VIDEOTS file with this program - DVD Shrink. The whole process is very smooth, very easy, and results in very good-looking disc copies. It is an almost ideal way for Ubuntu Linux users to back up their DVD library with programs that offer Microsoft Windows familiarity. Been using DVDDecrypter on my VISTA Machine for a few months now. Only issues I have with it on Vista is when it tries to play the movie after it completes the task.

That part just won't work with Vista. As far as everything else is concerned, DVDDecrypter does a great job on Vista and is VERY FAST too!Just checked (again) and saw that, yes, you can still download the most recent version of DVDDecrypter and it works just fine. Some of you should research a little more before you post. I have three children under the age of eight years old, so backing up DVDs is a must in our house hold.My three tools of choice to create backups of the children's movies we own are:1. SlySoft AnyDVD2. DVDecrypter (no longer available for download)3. DVD ShrinkWhen combined with the latest version of AnyDVD, DVD Shrink is simply amazing-it is simple to use and is gets the job done quite well.

The only times when DVD Shrink will not work for me are when a)the movie I am trying to backup is too big/long to be compressed into 4.38GB DVDs, b)when latest backup deterrents scheme has been used on the DVD I'm trying to backup (however, once AnyDVD releases its latest update, it is all good again!), and c)when the DVD I'm trying to backup is too scratched to be read reliably.I really like DVD Shrink, I has saved quite a little bit of many by not having to re-buy movies for the kids, thus I give it an Excellent! Zakirx:Slysoft is changing to Euro vs the American Dollar. If you're in the United States. You'll now pay twice as much for their products in Euro as compared to the American Dollar after Dec. 31, 2007slysoft website should be easy to figure out.

I don't know the protocol of this website, I'll post a link to slysoft.www.slysoft.comThere Ripper is named AnyDVD. I wanted to say, I have a DVD made in 2005 I couldn't copy with any software burning program to include the Free Download SLYSOFT CLONE DVD Program with their RIPPER AnyDVD. I also used DVD43, my Primary Ripper with Roxio Easy Media Creator 9.0 and 7.5 my Primary Burn Programs.I even went to my WAYBACK Machine and tried using DVD X Copy Platinum made by 123 Studios. NADA!!!!!!None of the above worked.

I got error readings for all the software burn programs to include, DVD Decrypter.Fortunately, I was able to go to my C:Drive to obtain the VideoTS Files. Slysoft AnyDVD Ripper informed me it could be a defective disk, or I needed a Patch for my DVD Drive and it gave me a list of drive manufacturers that had problems with this type of error.

It provided a patch for the drivers. It wasn't this problem.

I think the DVD was a Poorly Made DVD. It wasn't a Mayor Hollywood Release. It would be classified as a very low budget DVD Release. I've never had a Disk I couldn't copy with these programs. The only Program that would allow me to copy the Disk was DVD Decryter which I made a VideoTS File. Which I am going to use DVD Shrink to transfer my VideoTS Files to Disk with Roxio Easy Media Creator.

Cdawn, is correct SlySoft AnyDVD is one of the few programs where software is continually updated. I have a friend that uses Slysoft AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 Religiously and swear. DVD Shrink is a great program. One think that some of you need to do when encountering encryption problems. Is to run a decryption program first. I usually copy the VIDEOTS folder on to my hard drive and then run DVD Shrink. Doing this well remove the first encryption and all well work fine after that. I have not had any problems.wj39.Did you make an ISO or did you make DVD files.

Because I burned an ISO to a disc once and it would not work on my DVD player that is connected to my TV. It would only work on my computer. I would suggest to stay away from burning ISO movie files if you want to see it on your regular DVD player.

There is one thing you need to understand with DVD Shrink - it is a great program for a free program. However, it is no longer updated for legal reasons, so it cannot break the newer codes that distributors have placed on DVDs. If you would like to be able to use this software to copy new disks and make them compatible to you DVD players you should also install Slyfox.

This software is continually updated and will break any code on any DVD.I have never ran into one it did not work on. This breaks the code, then DVD Shrink compresses it and then Nero burns it.works like a charm every time!

So far i have been using this program for a while as well. ANd so far it has been working well. Until yesterday. I tried making a backup of one of my dvd's and it will play on some of my dvd players but others it won't.

The disc i made plays in my pc and in my ps2 but and in my stand alone dvd recorder but it won't play in 2 of my stand alone dvd players. It is the weirdest thing i have ever seen in my life. And i have tried alot of different brand of dvd+r's and dvd-r's too. Same results. DVD shrink does it's job without any errors (most of the time)along with nero but the results are as i descibed above.

Any ideas what the problem can be? (i'm new this site!!). Ok.here is my problem which I havent encountered yet. I recently copied a season of a tv series and all the discs required that I use RipIt4Me before I could use DVD Shrink.

I even used the FixVTS program. Now.all those discs worked when I was done.except the last disc. It would pause, then skip scenes and freeze.

So I tried to think what could cause this. So I cleaned my DVD player and tried it again. So I popped in the disc before that which is on the same kind of disc and it worked fine. So I took the malfunctioning disc and popped it into the computer.it played fine.

So I used DVD shrink and 'ripped it' again. I put new disc in to burn it.copied and put it in my DVD player. Still didnt work. So I tried another type of disc. Still didnt work. After that I tried a 3rd kind of disc.the first was Sony, the second was Memorex and the last was Maxell. This time I watched the progress of the burn.

It was fine until it got to 85% to 86% done and it was just sit there.and after about 30 seconds or so it would finally move on. I tried that one and it didnt work.

I then tried burn a different movie and that worked just fine. So I went back and tried the FixVTS again.then tried to burn.and it still got stuck briefly at 86%. Any ideas on whats going on??Thanks.

FER GODSAKES, UPDATE DVD SHRINK ALREADY!Well dvd shrink is perfectly adequate, you will occaisionally need another ripper that is better equipped (and updated periodically) for the newer or better encrypted movies. I like dvd shrink just fine as it is free, after all and who is gonna sneeze at 'free'. But.I also have DVDfab demo 'just in case' which is a far superior product and even gets updated regularly, whereas Anydvd kind of just got set adrift in the free progy world to fend for itself and thusly our of date. Got a problem. I recently made a copy of Gridiron Gang. As far as I could tell everything went smoothly. However when I put my copy of the movie into the DVD player to watch it, the DVD just kept looping the PG-13 graphic, the FBI Warning, the warning screen on the red background, and the 'Following interviews.'

When I clicked the menu button, it brought up the menu and I hit play movie and it went back to looping those previous screens. So I put the disc in the computer, and the movie is on the disc.I found the files.but for whatever reason.it just loops those screens and wont play the movie.any ideas?? I too have had a few issues with DVD Shrink. However, I have gotten around them with RipIt4Me.

I dont think I have had any movies not work unless they are scratched real bad. One concern I have is: My DVD Shrink no longer works with any burning programs. It used to work with Nero. I would put the movie in one DVD drive and a Blank DVD in the other drive.and in about an hour.boom.I had a movie. But all of a sudden, it would burn the movies to 75% or so and then just stop. I ended up with a bunch of coasters. Now I have to do this manually.

I let it rip the movie then I open Nero myself and let it burn. Any ideas why this has happened? Thanks. Top software, i have been using it for years, and it has only let me down once with the DaVinci Code. Absolutely brilliant piece of Freeware, probably the best DVD compressing/encoding program on the market. Better than all the pay-for programs all put together, had very little to no problems with it, except it can be quite 'touchy' on what it reads, for example; if the disc has a slight scratch or blemish, DVD Shrink will encounter an error. Despite this however, I cannot think of a single other problem I have had with it, apart from the programs sensitivity factor.

Dvd Shrink Free Download Full Version

Great program, I highly recommend it to anyone who is in search for FREE DVD COMPRESSION AND BURNING (WITH A LINKED BURNER, E.G. Nero OR OTHER BURNING ROM).5/5 - Excellent! Software, DO NOT hesitate to download your copy, right now! The only reason I am not putting an excellent as the vote is because there is one dvd i am trying to 'back up' for my brother, but it won't let me! It is chicken little.

I have used three different computers! Everything goes fine w/ the analyzing, then I go to re-author and everything goes fine there also.the only problem I have is when I try to put it as an IFO file so i can put it into dvd decrypter afterwards.it says my I/O file is wrong or there is an error in it.can someone tell me what that means and how i can fix it? Thanks so much for your help.

Dvd Shrink 4.3 Full

As A newbie to burning, I have found out their are three things I can't live without. 1.DvdFabDecrypter 2.DvdShrink and 3. This Afterdawn Forum, I have learned pretty much everything that I needed to know to get started. I use DvdShrink with Nero to burn and have had only one coaster, that was a dl dvd-r and I had to update my firmware in order to burn the dl's.

Best of all is all this software was free thru the internet. I have backed up several dvd's and couldn't do it without DvdShrink. It's nice to be able to copy a movie on one Dvd5. Great software. Been useing it for a long time.ive read that some ppl are haveing problemswith it.

Okthis is how to eliminate most problems when backing up dvd's. 1st make sure u DO NOT!! Dasy chian the dvd burner/rom drive, it must be on its own ide chanel.

Make sure u use a hi quality cable (i recomenda good round cable, them ribins just suck). 2nd make sure thir isnt any programs running in the background(in windows just use msconfig and make sure u un tic load startup items and reboot).

3rd for them sony copy protected dvd's u must use a nother program called anydvd (new'er versons only), it will remove the sony protection. 4th use only name brand +/- dvd's. Now burrning is up to you. Some versons of nero, sonic record now and ez cddvd do not work right.

I personaly use intervideo dvd copy, its specificly for book type dvd burrning, wich is what a dvd movie is. Hope this helps:). Packed with features that allow you to extract exactly what yopu want from the DVD:These are just a couple of the reasons I use this, in conjunction with DVD-Decrypter.Now it seems that the official DVD-Shrink SITE is gone, but I have heard nothing about DVD Shrink being targeted by any Legal action. Therefore: DOWNLOAD THIS NOW!

It's free, and if you get it from Afterdawn, then you can be sure it is NOT coupled with a parasite program or hidden viruses.Get this while you still can! I have tried many DVD copy softwares over the pass two years and I have spent at least hundred of dollars trying to find the right and easy to use sofwares, but nevertheless its just disapointed me. Finally I found DVD SHRINK 3.1, this is the best software I ever encounter.

It is very easy to use, easy to burn, and excellent quality over all. Just today I was be able to download the upgrade version to DVD SHRINK 3.2. This is even better in such a way and what it is amazing is that this product is free with no cost to buy at all.Thank you very much for this fine product and I will definately make it known to my friends and families.THANKS AGAIN! The development of DVD Shrink has ended. There will be no newer versions released. (Unless decided by the author for a very good reason, such as bug fixes.- )The reason why the development ended is simple.

Shrink

He actually got a job with Ahead Software (also known as Nero). He developed Nero Recode. If you have used Nero Recode, you will notice a great similarity between the two. (Most differences are only cosmetic but, generally how it operates is the same.) Nero Recode unlike DVD Shrink cannot 'decrypt' or 'break copyright protection', as that is illegal. To over come that is easy, first rip with DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 or later. Nero Recode is faster than DVD Shrink, yes DVD Shrink still has some advantages. All in all, DVD Shrink is still a great tool for backing up your DVD library. OK, everyone has given a very primative review and I hate that.

I hope by reading this will save you time and money. Two things that I chould have saved if I would have found this program right away.I did research and tried to find a way to 'back up' my dvds and then burn them. I could not find a way, and programs promised results but none worked. I took 3 trips to best buy trying to find a solution and I kept being told to buy nero. I didn't feel comfortable buying an $80 program not knowing if it would work. So I went to Office Max.

They told me about DVD Shrink. I downloaded an older version and it didn't burn the information, it only backed it up to the hard drive. I tried more and more programs and even the demo version of nero (which will work but its ver complicated and time consuming), The demo expired and I didn't have the money to buy the software and I knew I could do it some other way. I went back and downloaded the newest version of DVD Shrink. It works great. It would scan the disk.

I would click to burn and it would compress the information and burn automatically. It took about 20-30 mins (with a 16x burner)to burn a dvd. It is great software and best of all cheap. If you download the proper version of Shrink I promise that it will do everything that I just said it would. I am very pleased. It is legal too if you are 'backing up.' If you distribute the backup copies, you will face severe consiquences.

I hope this is a better review.Simon. This software is absolutely wonderful! Along with DVD Decrypter these two programs make a wonderful duo in making it easy to back up my DVD collection. Once you learn how to use them and understand how they work, you will really love it!

What's even more amazing is that it's F-R-E-E!! I would gladly pay for this software but am grateful for the hard work and dedication of the software developers who have labored long and hard to make it enjoyable to burn & create your own DVD video collection. I also give my thanks for their efforts to protect and ensure that we have the liberty to exercise our fair use rights.

I highly recommend this software. Keep up the great work!!! As to antuktuks comments they are always gonna try new ways to stop people ripping dvd's but what they dont see is there is always someone who is a step ahead making a program that bypasses their protection they aint ever gonna learn as their under the impresssion they'll win. But we all know they aint. As to the software its great never had any problems up until now. I assume it will be updated to take in to account new dvd structures with dummy sections (Resident evil apocalypse )Keep up the good work. I have tried the latest versions of 1Click DVD, CloneDVD, DVDXCOPY, ApolloDVD and DVD Shrink.

Amazingly, DVD Shrink is still be best one. It is darn stable and fast. With AnyDVD + DVD Shrink + Nero, I have never got a coaster.

Its copy quality is fantastic. For a 2:45 long movie with 61% compression rate, I can hardly tell the difference between the original DVD and the copied one, if 'deep analysis' is applied. Even without using deep analysis, the copy quality is still good.Great work, great product! 2 thumbs up!When is the next version? Hi.i'm a registered user of dvdx copy platinum and dvd cloner.and let me tell you i use dvd shrink all the time over the other 2 programs! This program is so easyyyyyyyyyyyy! Never failed.not even once!

Dvd Shrink 4.3 Full Crack

It's very easy to use,I make a iso image first(or you can make a video folder) and then i use roxio easy cd creator 7 to burn! It also has a option to put the title on the dvd(Just type it in).because some dvd's that you rent the drive letter on the pc it shows 'dvdvideo' so that's a nice feature.plus it's FREE! EXCELLENT PROGRAM!Marcello O. This is a one stop shop for backing up dvds. There seems to be a little confusion with some people, DVD shrink (ignore the name it does more than shrink) enables anyone to back up a dvd any way they wish, FULL back up or RE-Author. I use RE-Author alot as I feel alot of the extras on some dvds are crap I backup the dvd with just the movie. This is by far the easiest program I have ever used for what it does and of course it is free. Also note that they update often which is rare in a 'adware/spyware clean' 'free' program. You want to backup your dvds no matter what your skill level?

GET THIS PROGRAM! (uses Nero very well).

For most people this is, to quote another 'the dog's danglers'.I have used cce+rebuilder for a while and I can say that it is 'the donkey's danglers'.I haven't used it yet but in the change log it states 'target for dvd-9 added'.Why is this needed if the point of shrink is to bypass the need for DL discs????, why not Dvddecrypt to the HD then burn with nero???? But anyway. This might sound facetious, if so, sorry, as i know the author is doing great work, all for FREE. This must always be taken in to account. Thanks for this long awaited software, and good work! I have been using DVDShrink for months. I found it right afer I bought my Plextor DVD Writer and boy was I lucky. This program blows DVDXCopy away. I think it is the most versatile of it's kind.

You'll want this one.and it's free. It takes a little work getting acquainted with, but once you understand it you'll love it. Check out these two sites for more information. Keep up the great work Afterdawn.com.I love you guys. This versatile freeware is a little ripper!!The options and menus are easy to understand and to get used to, especially with help from Afterdawn.com.

Free Download Dvd Shrink 3.2.0.15

Canfield says it isn't cluttered by simpleton menus and restricted options. One can customise the ripping method quite freely.

It isn't as problematic as the commercial ones, like DVD CLoner 2 and others. This is free, and as the saying goes, the best things in life are free!Kudos to the makers and to Afterdawn.com, this site is an awesome site!
